Aptera 2e

The Aptera 2 Series (formerly the Aptera Typ-1) is a high-efficiency passenger vehicle, currently in the final stages of design by Aptera Motors. They are currently accepting pre-orders from California residents. The fuel efficiency of 300 mpg_-US (0.78 L/100 km) when plugged in every 120 miles (190 km) would make it one of the most fuel-efficient cars in the world.

Aptera Motors claims the Aptera 2 Series accelerates from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 km/h) in less than 10 seconds with a top speed over 85 mph (137 km/h). Their first vehicle will be the all-electric Aptera 2e (formerly the Typ-1e) , with plans for a follow-on plug-in hybrid Aptera 2h (formerly the Typ-1h). They are aiming to price the 2-series from the mid-$20,000s to mid-$40,000s depending on drive-train and other options.
